The AVR-X2900H and AVR-X3900 are engineered for enthusiasts who already understand the impact of high-quality sound and want to push their systems further.
Denon has introduced the next generation of its X-Series AV receivers, the AVR-X2900H and AVR-X3900H. These new models are engineered for enthusiasts who already understand the impact of high-quality sound and want to push their systems further. They are also designed with custom integrators in mind, offering advanced calibration options, flexible system configuration, and deeper control for dedicated home theaters and whole-home audio installations.

At the core of both new models is Denon’s continued focus on sound quality. Updated internal components and a high-performance, 32-bit multichannel DAC architecture deliver improved imaging, clearer high-frequency detail, and more confident low-frequency energy across every channel.
Each AVR is developed and tuned at Denon’s Shirakawa Audio Works in Japan, guided by the philosophy of the Denon Sound Master, balancing precise measurement with careful listening to achieve the brand’s signature vivid and spacious sound. The result is an experience that feels open, dynamic, and engaging, whether enjoying films, music or games.
Audyssey remains built in, offering fast, reliable calibration that delivers balanced, immersive sound with minimal setup. For users who want deeper control and precision, Denon X-Series AVRs also support Dirac Live upgrades, enabling more advanced tuning as systems become more complex. (Dirac Live room correction features require a separate license purchase and additional fee. Availability and upgrade options may vary by model.)
With 95 watts per channel across seven channels, the AVR-X2900H delivers greater headroom and composure than entry level models, producing improved clarity and impact with high quality speakers. Support for immersive surround formats, advanced HDMI features, and modern gaming standards makes it a versatile upgrade for movies, games and music.

A key advancement for the AVR-X2900H is Dirac Live Room Correction compatibility, giving users the option to unlock more advanced room tuning over time. Paired with Audyssey out of the box, HEOS multiroom audio, and Denon’s ease of setup, the AVR-X2900H balances serious performance with everyday usability.
Denon AVR-X3900H
With 9.4 channels of amplification, 11.4 channels of processing and 105 watts per channel, it is engineered to anchor complex speaker layouts and demanding listening environments. Four independent subwoofer outputs and expanded configuration options allow for more balanced, impactful bass performance in dedicated rooms.

The AVR-X3900H supports Dirac Live Room Correction, Bass Control, and Active Room Treatment (ART) as optional upgrades, giving experienced users and custom integrators advanced tools to fine tune system performance with exceptional precision. Audyssey is also included, ensuring homeowners and installers can choose the approach that best aligns with their workflow and listening preferences.
Shared across the AVR-X2900H and AVRX3900H, IP based Web UI setup, advanced HDMI diagnostics and expanded control interfaces support efficient system setup and ongoing optimization, while delivering the stability and performance expected in today’s premium home entertainment environments.
Both X-Series AVRs are powered by HEOS, the multiroom audio platform built into Denon and other premium audio brands, and support Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, and access to popular music services such as TuneIn Internet Radio, Spotify, Qobuz, and more. This allows users to stream high-resolution music throughout the home, group rooms together, or play different sources in different spaces using a single, easy to use app.
As part of Denon’s continued focus on real world flexibility, the AVR-X2900H and AVR-X3900H will support the option to use Denon Home 200, 400, and 600 speakers as wireless rear surrounds, helping accommodate rooms where running speaker wire is not practical.
Wireless surround functionality will arrive via a future firmware update and will not be available at launch, and additional details will be shared at a later date.
The Denon AVR-X2900H and AVR-X3900H will be available May 14, 2026, at Denon.com and through authorized Denon retailers worldwide at the following pricing.
